Many of the landmarks in Gudur town owe their existence to Rotary Club Gudur, One such Land mark is Clock Tower , standing in the busy old bus stand Area . Standing tall in the heart of city this has become the face of Gudur .

When Rotary Club of Gudur was Charted in the ear 1963 Gudur did not have a proper degree college . Students have to go to nearby town Nellore for a degree course . Rotary club Gudur realized the need for a degree college in the town and has taken up the tak of constructing the college . with first contribution from Sannapareddy Krishna Reddy funds were raised from the elite of Gudur town and the college building was completed . The project taken up during the president ship of KMK Reddy is today 1000 strength college with all the necessary infrastructure . It as inaugurated during the president ship of Pudi Raghavaiah in the year 1965-66 . Thanks to the effort of Rotary club Gudur , students of Gudur today hav easy Acce to higher education

Another dream project of Rotary Club Gudur is Dvvuru Ramanamma Womens College which again came into Existence by the benevolence of A . Shyamsundar Reddy . This College Started in the year 1981 is today one of the most prominent and reputed women's college in this region with a huge campus , a well equipped computer lab and library this college imparts quality education to almost 2000 students known for its discipline and high ethical values this college today is an autonomus college . Thanks to the efforts of Rtn Meharmani the president elect of RC Gudur who has been serving as the principal since last thirty years . The college continues to attract student of all parts of Andhra Pradesh

PDG D Bhaskar Reddy with a view to provide permanent Shelter to the Girijans of Puritipalem, a flood prone area , obtained a Matching Grant Project and constructed 30 permanent Pucca Rcc Houses and were distributed to dwellers of the locality Rtn Y Gopal Reddy played a Vital role in the Execution of the project as a Project contact person

The first community hall of Gudur town DNR Community hall was a project of Rotary Club Gudur. Initiated by Late Sri Shyamsundar Reddy Garu , a charter member who continues in the club today the project took six long years to be completed . He donated 1.2 million rupees and the project was named after his father in law Sri Duvvuru Narayan Reddy. On the occasion of platinum jubilee of Rotary International in the year 1980 the project was dedicated to the community by Late Sri Nedurumalli Janardan Reddy Garu former Chief Minister of Andra Padesh. PDG Tarachand Dugar the then president of the club said Gudur people dosn't have to go to near by towns anymore to conduct functions

Despite 50 long years Rotary Club of Gudur did not have any permanent building of their own . Rtn Bheema Sivakumar Reddy during his year as a President with the support of members of the club initiated this project of building a community hall . With major contribution coming in from our biggest donor Sri Alluru Audisesha Reddy of our Club members contributed liberally to build this hall. Started in the year 2008the project was completed in less than a year's time.

Lack of proper sporting facilities in Gudur town till 1980s resulted in only rich and privileged people playing sports by going to nearby bigger towns. It was in the year 1980 that Rotary club Gudur took up the task of providing a play ground that can help the budding talent flourish into professional players. With Alluru Audisesha reddy donating a magnanimous one lakh rupees in the year 1980 the stadium was dedicated to the public in the year 1982. This stadium in the heart of the town helped many boys and girls develop into district level and national level players.

An Open Air Auditorium for the conducting cultural programs , Meetings etc , in a plesent and natural atmosphere wa a long felt need in Gudur Town . Rtn G D Reddy came forward to shoulder the responsibility of fulfilling this need . He donated the present open air auditorium named after his wife SRMT .GNAGPATNAM LAKSHMI NARAYANAMMA This auditorium was constructed during 1985-6 when Rtn P.Pola Reddy was the Rotary Club Gudur President . At Present a number of meetings , cultural programmes including Annual Drama Competitions of Samskruti Sammelanam are being conducted in this open air auditorium.

Many Government schools in Gudur town do not have toilet blocks for children . They have to go out on the street and attend the nature call . This was a causing lot of difficulty more so for girl children. The difficulties are compounded when the school is in the midst of housing locality. The club has been in the process of providing the toilets for many schools. Three schools have been provided with the facility so far helping around 1000 children and we plan to construct more in the coming days.

This is one of the most prestigious project of Rotary club of Gudur in the recent times. The project initiated by Muni Girish during his year as president touched the lives of everyone in Gudur town and is being hailed as one of its kind project. This project done at a total cost of approximately twenty lakhs has in fact enhanced the image of the club in the public. With lot of greenery and very peaceful surroundings this is a place where people can be laid to rest with serenity

K.MEHARMANII AND SECRETARY PV KRISHNIAH AND MAJOR ROLE PLAYED BY PDG BOMMIREDDY SURENDRA WHO IS GOLEDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS CHAIRMAN , THIS PROJECT IS MAJORLY SUPPORTED BY ALLAREDDY RAVIKUMAR REDDY MEMORY OF HIS FATHER SRI ALLAREDDY SYAMSUNDAR REDDY .
